Chief Compliance Officer
David Hunt serves as Chief Compliance Officer of Sanders Morris, where he leads the firm’s compliance and regulatory framework. With more than 25 years of experience in financial services, David has built a career around a simple principle: that strong compliance and operational discipline are what let a firm grow with confidence and earn the trust of the clients it serves.
Over his career, David has held senior leadership and C-suite roles across a range of firms, including Securitize Markets, Circle Internet Financial, Allianz Global Investors, and IOI Capital and Markets. He has architected compliance and operational frameworks for both early-stage ventures and established institutions, with recent work focused on integrating blockchain technology into regulated broker-dealer infrastructure. At Securitize, he served as Chief Executive Officer and Chief Compliance Officer; at Circle, he helped integrate the firm’s blockchain solutions into the SeedInvest broker-dealer business.
David currently serves on FINRA’s New York regional committee and holds Series 6, 7, 14, 24, 27, 79, and 99 licenses. He is a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Albion College.
